# About Good Peptide

> About Good Peptide and its repair question — Good Peptide is an editorial research site about GHK-Cu and repair: a curious reader’s essays, with no treatment service or medical advice.

A generous adjective, put to work on a very particular subject.

## Why repair?

Good Peptide is the title of this collection of essays about GHK-Cu and the published research on repair. The name contains a compliment. I’m interested in making that compliment answer for itself.

My patience for untidy problems has somewhere to go here. There are materials to make, barriers to cross and several ways for an attractive idea to become complicated. The [tissue-remodeling literature describes a mix of collagen, elastin, metalloproteinases and anti-proteases](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18644225/). I prefer that busy mixture to a picture in which every useful biological response simply means “more.”

The [fibroblast experiment](/collagen) is the result I’m happiest to praise: a specific change in collagen synthesis, observed in a specific experimental setting. I take a different sort of satisfaction from the [combination hair trial](/hair-trial), because its result remains interesting after the other ingredient gets its credit.

## Purpose and limits

This is an editorial research site, with no shop or treatment service. Good Peptide names the publication; it offers no endorsement of a preparation or a route of use. Nothing in these essays can serve as medical advice, and no personal treatment decisions can be made here.

The pleasure for me is understanding what an experiment managed to show. That pleasure leaves room for a reservation, an inconvenient condition or an unanswered question. A molecule can do something worth studying without earning every claim attached to its name.

I’d rather let a modest result remain modest and interesting. The larger aspirations can wait for experiments capable of answering them. That patience is the main conviction behind Good Peptide, and the reason the repair question remains open.

The questions are deliberately allowed to stay separate. A barrier can be crossed without settling the collagen question; an interesting cellular response can leave the usefulness of a preparation unresolved. Following the loose ends is a pleasure in itself for me.

At Good Peptide I follow published repair research with curiosity and a willingness to revise a verdict, without offering medical advice or a treatment service.
