GHK-Cu reading list
A small collection with several different experimental settings: cultured cells, skin outside the body, a human combination trial and gene-expression analysis.
Collagen and remodeling
Start with the human fibroblast collagen experiment. Then turn to the tissue-remodeling review and the skin-regeneration review. For me, the wider repair argument becomes much more absorbing after this particular synthesis result.
Topical delivery
The skin-layer penetration experiment measures copper transport and retention in human skin outside the body. The topical GHK review brings the permeability problem into the discussion of skin outcomes.
Hair and gene activity
The human hair trial concerns GHK in a combination with 5-aminolevulinic acid. The isolated-follicle study concerns AHK-Cu. I’d resist merging those materials even in a hurried account.
The gene-data review is the starting point for the expression signature and the threshold discussion. Its breadth is part of its fascination; the gene-data essay follows the questions that temper my enthusiasm.
